ON VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH A SPORT STEERING WHEEL THE STEERING WHEEL RETENTION FASTENERS MAY HAVE BEEN INADEQUATELY TIGHTENED. THIS CONDITION CAN CAUSE PROGRESSIVE LOOSENING OF THE STEERING WHEEL RELATIVE TO THE LOWER HUB SECTION AND WOULD BE NOTICEABLE AS FREE PLAY IN THE STEERING WHEEL. CONTINUED VEHICLE OPERATION COULD RESULT IN STEERING WHEEL SEPARATION FROM THE HUB CAUSING A LOSS OF STEERING CONTROL.
