TRUCKS EQUIPPED WITH EITHER AN SGPS47 OR SGP49 STEERING SYSTEM. AN IMPROPER PINCH BOLT AND NUT MAY HAVE BEEN USED TO CLAMP THE STEERING SHAFT TO THE STEERING GEAR INPUT SHAFT. THS NUT COULD LOOSEN CAUSIG INPUT SHAFT LOOSENESS AND SPLINE WAEAR. CONTINUED OPERATION COULD RESULT IN STEERING SHAFT SEPARATION A D LOSS OF STEERING CONTROL.
