THE FUEL TANK MOUNTING STRAPS ON THESE VEHICLES ARE SUBJECT TO CORROSION DUE TO ROAD SALT. STRAP FAILURE WOULD CAUSE THE FUEL TANK TO DISENGAGE FROM THE UNDERBODY AND REMAIN ATTACHED ONLY BY ITS PLUMBING CONNECTIONS.
