UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS, THE PARKING PAWL MAY NOT ENGAGE THE PARKING GEAR WHEN THE GEAR SELECTOR IS MOVED TOWARD PARK LEAVING THE VEHICLE FREE TO ROLL IF LEFT ON A GRADE WITHOUT THE PARKING BRAKE ENGAGED. ALSO, ABNORMALLY SLOW MOVEMENT OF THE SELECTOR LEVER FROM REVERSE TO NEUTRAL MAY NOT DISENGAGE THE REVERSE GEAR IN THE TRANSMISSION. rnVEHICLES AFFECTED: PASSENGER CARS WITH 2.4L DIESEL ENGINES AND ZF AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS.
