THE FIT BETWEEN THE RADIATOR CAP AND THE FILLER NECK MAY BE TOO LOOSE. THIS LOOSE FIT COULD ALLOW A PERSON REMOVING THE CAP TO INADVERTANTENTLY REMOVE THE CAP BEFORE INTERNAL PRESSURE IS COMPLETELY RELEASED. HOT RADIATOR FLUID MIGHT BE SPRAYED ON THAT PERSON OR OTHERS IN THE VICINITY.

Transport Canada recorded this notice in capitals, as its system did for many years. It is reproduced here exactly as published.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 1985084.
