THE BEARING TOLERANCES IN THE FUEL TRANSFER PUMP MAY NOT ALWAYS SUFFICIENTLY ACCOMODATE TEMPERATURE EXPANSION. IF THIS HAPPENS, THE FUEL SUPPLY TO THE ENGINE WILL BE INTERRUPTED, CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO STALL. A VEHICLE STALLING ON THE ROAD COULD POSE A SIGNIFICANT THREAT TO TRAFFIC SAFETY.
