VEHICLES WERE BUILT WITH A HOOD LATCH SKID PLATE NOT PROPERLY WELDED TO THE HOOD LATCH SUPPORT ASSEMBLY. HOOD CLOSURES MAY FRACTURE THE SKID PLATE WELDS RENDERING THE SKID PLATE NONFUNCTIONAL AND DISABLING THE SECONDARY HOOD LATCH.
