VEHICLES WERE BUILT WITH INCORRECT REAR BRAKE ASSEMBLIES. THESE BRAKE ASSEMBLIES MAY INCREASE STOPPING DISTANCES AND REDUCE VEHICLE CONTROL WHILE BRAKING. THIS COULD RESULT IN A VEHICLE CRASH WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING. CORRECTION: REAR BRAKE ASSEMBLIES WILL BE REPLACED.

Transport Canada recorded this notice in capitals, as its system did for many years. It is reproduced here exactly as published.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 1987102.
