Canada — Transport Canada, Vehicle Recalls Database
Certain vehicles equipped with automatic transmssions have been manufactured with an electronic fuel injection control unit (ECU) that may cause the engine idle speed to increase by approximately 550 rpm while the vehicle is stopped in gear. Although the vehicle can be held stationary with the brakes, the unexpected high idle speed could create the potential for loss of vehicle control. Correction: The ECU will be replaced.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 1987125.
