ON VEHICLES WITH RIDER'S SEAT, THE SEAT BELT MOUNTING BOLTS LOCATED ON THE INBOARD SIDE OF THE RIDER'S SEAT MAY BR UNDERTORQUED. THIS COULD LEAD TO LOOSENING AND EVENTUAL SEPARATION OF THE BELT ASSEMBLY FROM THE MOUNTING BRACKET. IN THE EVENT OF A SUDDEN STOP THE SEAT BELT WOULD NOT ADEQUATELY RESTRAIN THE WEARER AND INJURY COULD RESULT. rnCORRECTION: BOLTS WILL BE INSPECTED FOR PROPER TORQUE AND RETORQUED WHERE NECESSARY.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 1988059.
