NOTE: 2X4,4X4 AND 4X6 MODELS. rnTRANSMISSION LINKAGE MAY NOT HAVE BEEN PROPERLY ADJUSTED AT THE TIME OF MANUFACTURE. THIS COULD RESULT IN THE TRANSMISSION COMING OUT OF GEAR WHEN THE VEHICLE IS LOADED. IF THIS OCCURRED, THE REAR BRAKES WOULD NOT FUNCTION WITH THE TRANSMISSION IN NEUTRAL ON 2X4 AND 4X4 VEHICLES. ALSO, REDUCED VEHICLE CONTROL COULD RESULT IN A CRASH WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING. rnCORRECTION: TRANSMISSION LINKAGE WILL BE PROPERLY ADJUSTED ON AFFECTED VEHICLES.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 1989077.
