THE MIDLAND AIR BRAKE SYSTEM VALVES ON THIS VEHICLE MAY EXPERIENCE FAILURE AS A RESULT OF HYDROGEN EMBRITTLEMENT OF THE VALVE FASTENERS. VALVE FAILURE WOULD RESULT IN LOSS OF AIR PRESSURE TO THE EXTENT THAT THE EMERGENCY SPRING BRAKES WOULD APPLY AND/OR LOSS OF SERVICE BRAKE CAPABILITY WOULD OCCUR ON ONE OR MORE AXLES SERVICED BY THE DEFECTIVE VALVE. FAILURE MODE IS DEPENDENT ON THE TYPE OF VALVE WHICH FAILS (TRAILER RELAY EMERGENCY VALVE, SERVICE EMERGENCY RELAY VALVE, TRAILER SPRING BRAKE CONTROL VALVE). CORRECTION: VALVES WILL BE INSPECTED AND SUSPECT VALVES WILL BE REPLACED.
Transport Canada recorded this notice in capitals, as its system did for many years. It is reproduced here exactly as published.

Reading this against the source
This page is what Transport Canada published in the Vehicle Recalls Database, kept as it was read. The authority publishes only its current wording; if a notice is rewritten, the earlier version disappears there and is kept here. The whole register is at /canada, and how the reading is done is set out in the method.
What the words on this notice mean — the system it is filed under, and what the filing type says about who found the fault.
This register keeps an index of its own for every maker and every year it holds: 177 Canadian vehicle recalls filed in 1991.
