THE TWO HYDRAULIC PRESSURE SWITCHES WHICH OPERATE THE BRAKE LIGHTS AND THE BRAKE BOOSTER PUMP MAY BE TOO SENSITIVE AND CAN RESULT IN THE BRAKE PRESSURE WARNING LIGHT ACTIVATING WHEN ACTUAL BRAKE SYSTEM FAILURE HAS NOT OCCURRED. THIS COULD CAUSE THE OPERATOR TO IGNORE A WARNING WHEN AN ACTUAL PROBLEM EXISTS AND COULD POSSIBLY RESULT IN AN ACCIDENT.rnCORRECTION: THE TWO HYDRAULIC PRESSURE SWITCHES WILL BE REPLACED WITH ONE MECHANICAL SWITCH THAT IS ACTIVATED BY BRAKE PEDAL STROKE.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 1994189.
