A PART OF THE STEERING COLUMN UPPER UNIVERSAL JOINT MAY HAVE DEVELOPED CRACKS DURING THE MANUFACTURING PROCESS. IF EXPOSED TO HIGH FORCES, SUCH AS FROM SINGLE SIDE CURB CONTACT, THE DEFECTIVE PART OF THE UNIVERSAL JOINT MAY DEVELOP EXCESSIVE TOLERANCES. THIS MAY RESULT IN NOISE AND FREE PLAY IN THE STEERING SYSTEM. IF UNCORRECTED, THE PART MAY FURTHER DETERIORATE AND EVENTUALLY RESULT IN LOSS OF STEERING CONTROL.rnCORRECTION: UNIVERSAL JOINT WILL BE INSPECTED FOR CRACKS AND REPLACED IF NECESSARY.
