On certain vehicles, improper calibration of the powertrain control module (PCM) could result in a no-start condition in cold weather (-15 degrees centigrade or colder). Correction: Dealers will replace the powertrain control module (PCM), install an engine block heater and a customer instruction label. If the owner has experienced a no-start condition, the spark plugs will also be replaced.
The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 1999029.
