Certain motorcycles were built with a fuel tank vent system and a bank angle switch that could malfunction. Either of these conditions could cause the engine to stall/quit while riding. This could result in loss of control and a possible crash without prior warning. Correction: A bracket will be installed to prevent the vapor valve from moving out of position and another bracket will be installed to secure the bank angle sensor.
The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2000040.
