On certain vehicles, a lack of lubrication can cause the Bendix SL-4 stop light switch to stick, resulting in vehicle stop lamps staying illuminated or failing to extinguish promptly. If the stop lamps fail to perform as designed, a vehicle crash could be the result. Correction: Bendix will provide a remedy kit and detailed instructions.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2004250.
