Canada — Transport Canada, Vehicle Recalls Database
On certain vehicles, a longer front hydraulic brake hose, for a large (73mm) hydraulic caliper, was substituted for the shorter, correct length hose used on the small (66mm) caliper. This extra length may cause the wheel to rub through the brake hose. A hole in the brake hose can cause a loss of braking ability that could result in a vehicle crash without warning, possibly resulting in property damage, personal injury or death. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if found to be too long, replace the front brake hose.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2005191.
