On certain Rhino side-by-side off-road vehicles, there may be excessive friction between the fuel cap and the filler neck. If the friction is greater than the ratcheting force of the fuel cap while being tightened, the cap can ratchet before the seal is properly seated to the filler-neck sealing surface. If the cap cannot be tightened properly, fuel could seep out around the filler neck. A fuel leak, in the presence of an ignition source, could ignite. Correction: Dealers will install a new non-ratchet type fuel cap.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2005232.
