On certain vehicles, a front hydraulic brake line may rub against the radiator coolant pipe. The resulting chaffing could cause a brake fluid leak which may cause the loss of front brakes, resulting in extended stopping distances. Correction: Dealers will inspect the brake line and secure it to provide more clearance. If chafing is found, the line will be replaced.
The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2005267.
