Dodge RAM in the other registers
This site holds seven national and European registers. Dodge RAM is named on 18 American notices, 8 British, 52 European and 5 Israeli. Those are separate campaigns, filed with separate authorities on their own schedules.

The British register
The European register
The Israeli register
Nothing here says any of these is this notice in another country. A model recalled in one country is often recalled in another, in different words and at a different time, and the authorities do not cross-reference each other. Reading them together is the reason this site holds more than one register.

Certain Dodge Ram 2500/3500 Heavy Duty pickup trucks equipped with a diesel engine and automatic transmission may experience inadvertent rearward movement. The transmission shift lever position is always displayed as "R" (Reverse) until the parking pawl is completely engaged in the Park position. Only then will the transmission shift lever indicator show "P" (Park). If the driver exits the vehicle while the engine is running, parking brake not engaged and the transmission shifter not fully in the Park gate, the vehicle may experience delayed rearward movement, which could cause a crash. Correction: Dealers will install an Out-of-Park alarm that will alert the operator if the transmission is not fully placed in the Park position when the engine is running and the driver takes his foot off the brake and opens the driver's door.
The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2005307.

Reading this against the source
This page is what Transport Canada published in the Vehicle Recalls Database, kept as it was read. The authority publishes only its current wording; if a notice is rewritten, the earlier version disappears there and is kept here. The whole register is at /canada, and how the reading is done is set out in the method.
What the words on this notice mean — the system it is filed under, and what the filing type says about who found the fault.
This notice names one vehicle among several registers that have written about it. Every notice this site holds for the Dodge Ram, in all seven, is kept on that vehicle's own page, with the newest in each.
This register keeps an index of its own for every maker and every year it holds: Canadian recalls on a Dodge: 580 in the register, and 404 Canadian vehicle recalls filed in 2005.
