On certain travel trailers, the Federal Identification Tag and the Tire & Loading Information Label do not contain the correct Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) and Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR). The labels incorrectly indicate a GVWR of 7600 lbs instead of 8200 lbs and GAWR of 3500 lbs instead of 4400 lbs. Also, the labels indicate tire size 205/75D14C with a maximum inflation pressure of 50 psi instead of 225/75D15D with a maximum pressure of 65 psi. Under inflating a tire could lead to increased risk of tire failure, which could result in a vehicle crash with injury or death. Correction: Dealers will install updated labels.
The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2007214.
