Certain travel trailers fail to conform to the requirements of CMVSS 110 - Tire Selection and Rims. The Tire Inflation Pressure Label on the roadside front of the vehicle has incorrect air pressure information. The label incorrectly lists the cold tire inflation pressure as 517 kPa (75 psi) instead of the 300 kPa (44 psi) or 345 kPa (50 psi) dependent upon which tire is installed. In addition, the tire, rim and tire pressure information in the Owners Manual is incorrect. An over inflated tire could blow-out, causing the trailer to sway uncontrollably which could cause a crash. Correction: Airstream will mail to registered owners a corrected Tire Inflation Pressure Label and a label with correct tire information that can be placed in the Owner's Manual over the incorrect information.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2007259.
