Certain aftermarket replacement steering drag link tie rod ends may have been manufactured incorrectly. In certain heavy loading conditions the tie rod end could break, which may result in a loss of steering control and a crash causing property damage, personal injury or death. Correction: Owners who had drag link tie rod ends replaced using these faulty components are asked to take their vehicle to a Prevost dealer for inspection and repair if required.
The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2009155.
