On certain fifth wheel trailers, the Federal Identification Label and the Tire & Loading Information Label do not contain correct tire inflation pressure values. The labels indicates a maximum inflation pressure at 800 psi but instead should read 80 psi. Improper tire pressure can lead to tire failure which, in turn, can result in a vehicle crash causing property damage, personal injury or death. Correction: Updated labels will be mailed to owners of affected vehicles along with instructions for proper installation.
The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2009160.
