Canada — Transport Canada, Vehicle Recalls Database
On certain vehicles, the fasteners attaching the steering gear to the front drive bracket may have received insufficient torque at assembly, resulting in less than the required clamp load. Insufficient clamp load may allow the fastener (s) to become loose and fall away from vehicle. If multiple fasteners were to become loose, the steering may wander resulting in possible loss of control which could result in a crash causing property damage, personal injury or death. Correction: Dealers will inspect fasteners, replace if necessary and torque them to specifications.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2009368.
