Certain motorhomes may contain a defective crimp connection in the auxiliary battery cable assembly. A defective connection may result in an inadequate electrical connection or disengagement of the cable, which could lead to electrical arcing, overheating, and generate sufficient heat for ignition of surrounding materials. Ignition of surrounding materials could result in property damage, personal injury or death. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the auxiliary battery cable assemblies.
The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2010168.
