Canada — Transport Canada, Vehicle Recalls Database
On certain vehicles, a quick release valve (QRV) contains a rubber diaphragm that may delaminate and cause leakage, a restriction, or blockage of the airflow, thereby affecting pressure delivery and release to the foundation brakes. Air trapped in the spring brake chambers could cause the parking brakes to apply slower than expected, which could allow the vehicle to roll away causing a risk or property damage, personal injury or death. Correction: Dealers will inspect and replace defective quick release valves.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2009220.
