On certain travel trailers, the compliance label may contain incorrect information. The label lists the wrong Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR), the wrong number of axles, and the wrong Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR). The GAWR is listed as 6400 lbs on the label when it should read 3500 lbs. The label lists only one axle when it should read two axles. The GVWR is listed at 7,040 lbs. when it should have been listed at 7,700 lbs. With the incorrect axle and weight rating information, a consumer could overload the vehicle, resulting in personal injury or property damage. Correction: Updated labels will be mailed to owners of affected vehicles, along with instructions for proper installation.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2010241.
