On certain school buses, the interior sheet metal below the window on the left-hand side of the vehicle fails to comply with Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standards 221 - School Bus Body Joint Strength. In the event of a crash, the embossed aluminum sheet may separate from the interior compartment structure and could increase the risk of personal injury to vehicle occupants. Correction: Dealers will remove the rivets, add adhesive between the sheet metal and install new rivets.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2010443.
