Cadillac CTS in the other registers
This site holds seven national and European registers. Cadillac CTS is named on 14 American notices, 3 British, 5 European, 4 Japanese and 11 Israeli. Those are separate campaigns, filed with separate authorities on their own schedules.

The British register
The European register
The Japanese register
The Israeli register
Nothing here says any of these is this notice in another country. A model recalled in one country is often recalled in another, in different words and at a different time, and the authorities do not cross-reference each other. Reading them together is the reason this site holds more than one register.

On certain vehicles, repeated flexing of the Passenger Sensing System mat in the front passenger seat may cause the mat to kink, bend, or fold. This flexing can break the connections in the mat. If this occurs, the front passenger airbag could become disabled. If the airbag becomes disabled, the passenger airbag status indicator on the rearview mirror will show that the airbag is OFF, the AIR BAG indicator will be illuminated, and a SERVICE AIR BAG message will appear in the Driver Information Centre. Failure of the passenger airbag to deploy during a crash (where deployment is warranted) could increase the risk of personal injuries to the seat occupant. Correction: Dealers will replace the Passenger Sensing System mat and the seat cushion in the front passenger seat of vehicles built between December 8, 2003 and August 31, 2004, as well as those built from June 6, 2005 to Feb 18, 2007. Owners of other 2005-2007 Cadillac CTS vehicles will be provided with a "special warranty coverage". Should this issue occur, GM will repair these vehicle free of charge up to 10 years or 192,000 km from first vehicle registration.
The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2010458.

Reading this against the source
This page is what Transport Canada published in the Vehicle Recalls Database, kept as it was read. The authority publishes only its current wording; if a notice is rewritten, the earlier version disappears there and is kept here. The whole register is at /canada, and how the reading is done is set out in the method.
What the words on this notice mean — the system it is filed under, and what the filing type says about who found the fault.
This notice names one vehicle among several registers that have written about it. Every notice this site holds for the Cadillac CTS, in all seven, is kept on that vehicle's own page, with the newest in each.
This register keeps an index of its own for every maker and every year it holds: Canadian recalls on a Cadillac: 228 in the register, and 468 Canadian vehicle recalls filed in 2010.
