On certain street sweeper trucks, the radiator fan, mounted to the crankshaft of the auxiliary engine (which powers the sweeper system), could fail. Under heavy operating conditions and high auxiliary engine speed, the blades could separate from the base of the fan and strike another vehicle, stationary object or bystander, causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will relocate the radiator fan from the crankshaft to a belt-driven pulley.
