On certain trailers, the torsion suspension cartridge housing may crack and fail. This could result in a loss of vehicle control and a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Since Rebell Innovations Inc (the manufacturer of these trailers) is no longer in business, Podium Trailer Inc (a new company) is supplying vehicle owners with this courtesy notice. Owners are advised that, to prevent cartridge housing failure, the rated trailer load capacity has thereby been reduced to 110 lb (from 200 lb). Updated tire information labels, indicating the revised load capacity, will be mailed to owners along with instructions for proper installation. Since Podium Trailer Inc did not manufacture these units, they will not assume financial responsibility for any repairs. Podium can be reached at 450-532-4534.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2011257.
