On certain trucks, wheel-end retainers may have been incorrectly installed on the front and rear axles during vehicle assembly. This could allow the wheel assembly to separate from the vehicle, which could cause a loss of control and a crash. In addition, the errant wheel assembly could strike a vehicle, a stationary object, or a bystander. These issues could result in property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, as necessary, replace the wheel bearings, lock washers, lock rings, and/or hub seals.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2011422.
