Canada — Transport Canada, Vehicle Recalls Database
On certain vehicles equipped with a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT), the internal transmission drive belt could fail. This would result in a loss of vehicle propulsion which, in conjunction with traffic and road condition, and the driver's reactions, could increase the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the CVT gearbox assembly.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2012114.
