Mercedes-Benz E CLASS in the other registers
This site holds seven national and European registers. Mercedes-Benz E CLASS is named on 4 British notices and 5 European. Those are separate campaigns, filed with separate authorities on their own schedules.

Nothing here says any of these is this notice in another country. A model recalled in one country is often recalled in another, in different words and at a different time, and the authorities do not cross-reference each other. Reading them together is the reason this site holds more than one register.

On certain E-Class Wagons, the load levelling rear suspension could malfunction. This could trigger a continuous attempt to increase the pressure in the air bellows, which can lead to uncomfortable and stiff suspension characteristics. Ultimately, this could cause a loss of air pressure in the bellows, which could result in poor vehicle handling characteristics, increasing the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the level control system connecting rod with an updated version.
The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2012176.

Reading this against the source
This page is what Transport Canada published in the Vehicle Recalls Database, kept as it was read. The authority publishes only its current wording; if a notice is rewritten, the earlier version disappears there and is kept here. The whole register is at /canada, and how the reading is done is set out in the method.
What the words on this notice mean — the system it is filed under, and what the filing type says about who found the fault.
This register keeps an index of its own for every maker and every year it holds: Canadian recalls on a Mercedes-Benz: 477 in the register, and 444 Canadian vehicle recalls filed in 2012.
