On certain convertible child seats, the instruction manual indicates that the seat is not certified for use in an aircraft, which is incorrect. The Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standards require that every child restraint system have instructions on how to install the restraint system in an aircraft passenger seat, and that the restraint systems meet corresponding testing requirements. Correction: Owners will be sent an updated instruction manual that reflect the full certification status of the product.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2012266.
