On certain booster car seats, the French-language label affixed to the side of the seat contains incorrect occupant height and weight range information when the restraint is used in backless mode. The label indicates a weight range of 10 to 18 kg (22 to 40 lbs) and a height range of 71 to 127 cm (28-50 in). rnThe correct weight and height ranges for backless mode should read from 18 to 49.8kg (40 to 110 lbs) and 102 to 145 cm (40-57 in), respectively. Incorrect use of the restraint could increase the risk of injury to the seat occupant during a vehicle crash. Correction: All registered owners with affected car seats will be sent a label pouch containing a replacement label and instructions on how it is to be affixed to the product. Non-registered owners, or owners who have moved, are asked to contact Evenflo Company, Inc. by phone at 1-937-773-3971, or through the company website (www.evenflo.com), to register for a free label pouch.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2012245.
