When dynamically tested, certain child seats exhibited a crack in the area adjacent to the central front harness adjuster and consequently did not meet the structural integrity requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 213. In the event of a crash, a crack may form at the front of the seat adjacent to the harness adjuster and such a crack may cause a child not to be properly restrained. Correction: Evenflo will provide a reinforcement plate and installation instructions.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2010351.
