On certain vehicles equipped with an optional rear comfort seat, welding for the safety belt buckle assembly bracket may have been incorrectly positioned, and does not meet specifications. In the event of a crash, the weld could break. If this were to occur, the safety belt buckle and associated bracket could loosen from the seat frame, increasing the risk of personal injury to the left rear seat occupant. Correction: Dealers will replace the left rear seat frame.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2014461.
