On certain buses, during the floor decking process, a screw may have pierced the exhaust tube of the engine. If the screw were to come loose or be removed, hot exhaust gases could pass through the hole in the floor exposing occupants to exhaust fumes, smoke and increase the risk of fire causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect and repair the vehicles as necessary.
The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2015443.
