Canada — Transport Canada, Vehicle Recalls Database
On certain vehicles, the fasteners that are used to attach the circuit board to the vehicle within the chassis power distribution center may not be protected from chaffing or abrasions as they are not insulated from the board. As a result, the distribution center circuit board can experience abrasion resulting in unintended grounding of the circuit board. This can result in an electrical short and fire, which would increase the risk of injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will install nylon washers at the mounting points of the chassis electrical distribution center. Note: This recall is superseded by recall 2017-170.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2016345.
