Certain vehicles may fail to comply with the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (CMVSS) 201 - Occupant Protection. The latch securing the center console doors might not meet the requirements of the standard, specifically the longitudinal load tests. In the event of a crash, if longitudinal loads exceed those specified in the standard, items secured in the center console might exit the compartment, which may increase the risk of injury to vehicle occupants. Correction: Dealers will remove the bumper stop for the center console armrest latch.
