On certain motorhomes, the DEF (diesel exhaust fluid) tank bracket has the potential to make contact with the tag axle tire. This could result in damage to the tire, potentially causing rapid air loss and/or tire failure, which could affect vehicle handling and increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Spartan Motors Service Centers will reorient the DEF tank bracket to ensure clearance from the tire.
The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2018253.
