Issue: rnOn certain cars, an electronic control unit may fail. If this happens, it could cause various error messages to display on the instrument cluster. Some vehicle systems may not work properly. It could also cause drivability problems or make the car hard to start. rnrnSafety Risk: rnDrivability problems, including a sudden loss of engine power, could increase the risk of a crash. rnrnCorrective Actions: rnThe company will notify owners by mail. Owners will be instructed to bring the vehicle to a dealership to have the gateway control unit replaced.
