Issue: rnOn certain vehicles, the high-pressure fuel pumps (HPFP) may have been attached to the cylinder head incorrectly. Over time, this could cause the flange of the HPFP to crack. This could result in a fuel leak in the engine compartment. rnrnSafety Risk: rnA fuel leak in the engine compartment could increase the risk of a fire.rnrnCorrective Actions: rnBMW will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealer to replace the high-pressure fuel pumps.
