Issue: rnOn certain trucks, the reflective conspicuity tape on the back wall of the sleeper box was installed in incorrect locations. Canadian regulations require the conspicuity tape to be placed in specific areas. rn rnSafety Risk: rnA truck that does not have properly placed conspicuity tape may be less visible to others. This could create an increased risk of a crash.rn rnCorrective Actions: rnThe company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a Peterbilt dealer to install additional conspicuity tape on the back wall of the sleeper box, in the required locations.
The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2019518.
