Issue: rnOn certain trucks with a single steering position (RH or LH drive), the power wire to the Power Distribution Center (PDC) can overheat and potentially melt the cab power harness connector. This could cause a loss of power to the cab and engine, which may result in the engine shutting down.rn rnSafety Risk: rnA sudden loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash. rn rnCorrective Actions: rnThe company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their truck to a dealer to replace the 10-gauge main power wire to the PDC with a 4-gauge wire.
The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2019199.
