Issue: rnOn certain buses, the parking brake may not have been adjusted correctly. As a result, it may not hold the bus when parked. Under certain conditions, like while parked on an incline, this could allow the bus to roll away. rnrnSafety Risk: rnA parked bus that moves unexpectedly could increase the risk injury and/or a crash. rnrnCorrective Actions: rnYou should park the bus on a level surface and properly chock the wheels until the parking brake assembly has been inspected. Blue Bird will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to an authorized repair facility to have the parking brake assembly inspected and adjusted, as necessary.
The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2020200.
