Issue: rnOn certain travel trailers with the spare tire mounted on the bumper, the U-bolts that hold the spare tire carrier to the travel trailer may break. This could cause the tire and carrier to separate from the trailer. rn rnSafety Risk: rnA spare tire carrier that falls from the trailer could become a hazard for other road users and bystanders. This could create a risk of injury and/or a crash. rn rnCorrective Actions: rnHeartland RV will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your travel trailer to a dealer to replace the defective U-bolts. Heartland RV advises that you should remove the spare tire until the recall repairs have been completed.

The wording above is the department's own, as it stood in the monthly file this site last read. Vehicle counts are the sum of the counts published for each make and model the recall covers. To act on a recall, use the official notice: Transport Canada recall 2020213.
